The ABCs of KAL’s RTM technology

Hardware setup

Unlike an ATM, the RTM is a lightweight device with a footprint that’s well within two square feet. It stands 731mm and can be installed with minimal disruptions - simply plug it in to a conventional wall socket.

The machine does not store cash, which makes it more secure. However, it can also work in tandem with self-service cash and coin recycling devices.

Since the RTM dispenses paper tickets, all you need to do is maintain the ticket roll supplies.

The software

KAL’s world-class software operates inside the RTM – the same ATM software that global banks rely on to securely dispense over $1 trillion per annum. The technology is supported by KAL’s powerful remote management tools – taking care of updates, monitoring, new functionalities, and more.

Here are the software products that power the RTM:

  • Kalignite XFS SPs
  • Kalignite Platform
  • Kalignite NDC or K3A application
  • Kalignite security lockdown
  • Kalignite Terminal Controller (KTC) for RTM
  • Kalignite PCI SSF Kernel
  • Kalignite EMV L2 Kernel
